She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edison Kirkland and Catherine McKinley Kirkland; her stepmother Opal Kirkland; and her brother Micheal Thomas Kirkland. She is survived by: her husband Danny Strom of Thomaston; her sons, Jeremy Strom of Thomaston and Jordan Strom of Thomaston; her sister Debra Rosborough (Jim) of Sumner; and her cousin Joy Burnette (Hulon) of Thomaston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
