He was predeceased by: his parent Carroll Earl Pevey. He is survived by: his mother Emma Jean Reese Pevey of Hahira; his wife Molly Summitt Pevey of Thomaston; his daughters, Jennifer Dean (Terry) of Hahira, Pamela Pevey of Reidsville, Carol Jean Anderson (Derrick) of Altha and Vann Gilbert (Scooter) of Tyrone; his daughter-in-law Beth Speelman of Thomaston; his son Josh Speelman (Jennifer) of LaGrange; his brother Mike Pevey of Tallahassee; and his mother-in-law Frances Summitt of Thomasville. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
