She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Alsobrook and Maudelle Kersey Alsobrook; her daughter Cassandra Faith Ellington; and her sisters, Barbara Thomas, Gail Burel and Myris Kelly.
She is survived by: her husband James W. "Jimmy" Ellington; her children, Lezlie Hudson (Pete) of Butler and Dr. Brad Ellington (Carolyn) of Milner; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Welch (Roger) of Mauk, Angel Stucker (Clayton) of New Mexico, Peter Hudson, Jr. (Libby) of Madison, Casey Baker (Brian) of Warner Robins, Felicia Robinson (Michael) of Byron, Micah Ellington (Sarah) of Pooler and Caleb Ellington (Brooke) of Baxley. She is also survived by her sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the East Thomaston Baptist Church (206 Park Ln, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at the South View Cemetery (942 S Church St, Thomaston, GA 30286).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
