She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Calvin Hatchett and Ida Belle Morris; her husband Walter Lathel Helms Jr.; and her siblings, Kenneth Hatchett, Mallory Hatchett, Basil Hatchett, Jeanette Pitts and Louise Langford.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Chambley (Ricky) of Hamilton; her sister-in-law Ruth Hatchett of Thomaston; her grandsons, Richard Chambley and Cory Brown; and her great grandchildren, Hunter and Lydia Brown.
