She was predeceased by: her father George Edward Smith; her husband George Ernest Walker; her sisters, Josephine Smith Williams and Margie Smith Lussi; and her son-in-law Hans Schacht, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Denise Grogan (John) of Flowery Branch, GA, Dawn Stewart (David) of Alpharetta, GA and Donald Walker of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Elisabeth Schacht Miller, Nicholas Schacht (Renee) and Casey Anderson; her great grandchildren, Lily, Maddy and Katey Schacht; and her grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Brooklyn, Emily Chasteen, Arlo and Crosby Stoltz. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
