He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gilbert Wainwright and Benice Birdsong Wainwright; his son Rocky Wainwright; his sisters, Mary Butts and Donnis Thompson; and his great grandchild Spencer Duncan.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wainwright of Thomaston, GA; his son Ross Wainwright (Lori) of Thomaston, GA; and his brother Rodney Wainwright (Carlene) of Thomaston, GA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
