He is survived by: his wife Ethel Jean Merritt; his children, Latasha Smith (Curtis) of Thomaston, GA and Brutus Walker (Ericia) of Thomaston, GA; his grandchildren, DeMarion Smith, Decoriun Traylor and Iman Foster; his siblings, Norma Merritt (Ulysses) of Long Island, NY, Donna Haley (Dewey) of Douglasville, GA, Mary McGriff (Robert) of Hawkinsville, GA, Aretha Thomas (Alfred) of Columbus, GA, John Merritt (Kim) of Chester, VA and Larry Merritt (Maria) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Willis of Thomaston, GA, Vickie Ellerbee of Thomaston, GA and Christy Ellerbee of Thomaston, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
