With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Benefield Avera of Thomaston, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Davenport and Oscar Benefield; her husband Wilbur Avera; her brother Milton; her sister-in-law Mary Benefield; her sister Louise; and her brother-in-law Joe McGinnis.
She is survived by: her children, Matt Avera of Cumming, GA and Rosemary; her son-in-law Mark Moring of Macon, GA.; her grandsons, Matthew (Ariel), Luke Avera (Emilee) and Drew Akacki (Ebonè); her nieces and nephews, Kevin Benefield (Whit), Susan Dargis (Keith), Lesley Parham (Joe), Alan McGinnis (Linda) and Gary McGinnis (Courtney); David, Brittany, Benny, Casey, Christina and Callie Moring.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
