He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Clay; and his siblings, Bill, Tommy, Jim, Wilbur Clay and Shirley Stoner.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sam, Ricky Clay of Thomaston and Ruth Bowers of Thomaston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
