He is survived by: his children, Rickey Burkett (Cindy) of Phenix City, Alabama, Susan Walden (Joseph) of Phenix City, Alabama, Joe Burkett of Fort Valley, Anna Burkett of Byron, Lillian Burkett-Welch of Warner Robins, Jason Burkett (Pam) of Danville, Kentucky, Candy Galindo-Flores (Abel) of Fort Valley and Jada Gaddis (Darrell) of Junction City, Kentucky.; and his brother Tommy Burkett (Sharon) of Thomaston. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fletcher Day Funeral Home (628 N Church St, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery (2569 Jeff Davis Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286).
