He is survived by: his wife Caren Yates; his children, Chet Yates (Kelli) of Thomaston, Mitch Yates of Thomaston and Jerica Yates of Thomaston; his grandchildren, Tyrese (Andi), Hailey, Keylan, Mary Kate, Fred, Lance, Brooks, Emily, Lexi, Brody and Brynlee; his siblings, Phyllis Long (Steve) and Durand Yates (Lynn); his sisters-in-law, Sandra Wainwright (Murrah) of Thomaston and Jan Mitchell (Marcus) of Thomaston; and his siblings' children, Lindsey, Niki, Kim, Jason, Richie and Carla.
