He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey McGouirk and Evelyn McGouirk of Thomaston, GA.; and his siblings, Dewey "Bud" McGouirk (Barbarah), Richard McGouirk (Peggy Jo) and Nell Baughcum (Doug).
He is survived by: his wife Tanya Blount; his sons, James "Jim" Larry McGouirk Jr. (Michelle) and Dewey Edward McGouirk (Julie); his grandchildren, Eric McGouirk (Krysty) of Leesburg, Ryan McGouirk (Jenny) of Rome, Chase McGouirk of Thomaston and Seth McGouirk (Lindsey Murphy) of Thomaston; his great grandchildren, Sydney, Olivia McGouirk, Zayden McGouirk, Jenna and Grant Taylor; and his siblings, Tommy McGouirk (Kay), Millie Savage (John) and Toni Jones (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
