She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John Jackson Cox and Mattie Lou Corley Cox; her husband Charlie Douglas Burkett; and her grandson Bryant N. "Nate" Harp. She is survived by: her daughters, Robyn Simpson (Jesse) of Hoschton and Fran; and her sisters, Patricia Poteat (Reginald) of Laurinburg and Jeanette Shepard of Thomaston. She is also survived by Nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
