He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Jackson Wainwright and Mattie Lee Crane Wainwright. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hammock Wainwright; his children, Kim Baker (Dennis) of Montgomery, AL and Jason Wainwright (Tracy) of Thomaston; his brother Gerald Wainwright of Barnesville, GA; his grandchildren, Ashley Leonard (Tyler) of Abingdon, VA, Jessica Boehme (Chris) of Nashville, TN, Jake Wainwright of Thomaston and Jordan Wainwright of Thomaston; and his great grandchildren, Lexi, Rylie Leonard, Logan and Baker Boehme. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fletcher Day Funeral Home (628 N Church St, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
