She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry White, Sr. and Jackie Mae White; her husband A. J. Newton; and her children, Joseph Edgar "Ed" Green, Charles Avery Green and Joyce Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Dianna Pace of Thomaston, Lucy Hawkins (Henry) of Thomaston, Teresa Hill of Yatesville, Henry Green (Elsa) of Cumming, Larry Newton (Peggy) of Dawsonville, Eric W. Green of Qatar and Willie Green (Teresa) of Rome; and her sister Ruth Carlson of Box Springs. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
