She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Frank Parker and Matrice Bridges Parker; her son John Paul Mitcham Jr.; and her siblings, Evelyn King, Louise Powell, Lillie Mae Brooks, Ralph Parker, Charles Parker and Willie Frank Parker Jr..

She is survived by: her husband David McDonald; and her children, Karen Robinson, Glenn McDonald (Anne Marie) and Alan McDonald (Donna). She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
