She was predeceased by: her father Frederick Bates, Sr.; and her son Harley Hoard. She is survived by: her children, Samantha Hambrick (Thomas Storey) and Frederick Bates (Missy); her mother Sherry Dutton Ellerbee; and her brothers, Frederick Bates, Jr. and J. D. Kinard.
