He was predeceased by: his father Robert C. Bowles, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Judy Shaver Bowles of Thomaston; his children, Kelli Owen of Jackson, GA, Ashley Reed (Jack) of Thomaston and Alex Bowles (Jillian) of St. Augustine, FL; and his sister Charlotte Baker (Gary) of Maryville, TN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a research fund that is being established in Robert's name that will be spearheaded by his beloved neurologist, Dr. William Hu.
