He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Newton Waddell and Jewell Poteat Waddell; and his brothers, Wayne and Michael Waddell. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kay" Blount Waddell of Thomaston; his children, Dawn Key (Pete) of Eatonton, GA and Jim Waddell Jr. (Michelle) of Thomaston; his brother Kenneth Waddell (Mary) of Thomasville, GA; his sister-in-law Frances Waddell; his grandchildren, Corey Key (Crystal), Katherine Skinner, Daniel Key, Emilie Waddell and Claire Waddell; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Colton, Hunter, Magnolia, Sam, Shelby and Jackson.
