He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Kitchens and Dola Dunn Kitchens Stephens; his wife Pauline Josephine Kitchens; and his siblings, Vineyard Stephens and Alice Patrick.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Kitchens (Susan) of Thomaston Ga and Tommy Johnson (Susan) of Barnwell, S. C; his brother James Stephens (Maxine); and his grandchildren, Ashley Kitchens, Stephen Kitchens and Kellie Brown of Traci Johnson, T. J. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
