Sylvia Lee Partain Green Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2025, at the age of 79, Sylvia Lee Partain Green of Thomaston, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Lee Partain and Ever Corley Partain of Maine; her husband James Earnest Green; and her daughter Tammy Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Diane Green, Cornelia Green, Rhonda Hale (Joshua), Wanda Dawson (Chris) and Keith Green; her sisters, Jeanie VanWinkle and Betty Baughcum; and her grandchildren, James Haygood, Katie Bartlett, Ben Haygood, Stephanie Wilson, Nicole Nevins, Kristie Bruce, Tony Bruce, David Bruce, Alyssa Fowler, Micah Dawson and Devin Hale. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fletcher Day Funeral Home (628 N Church St, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
