She was predeceased by: her mother Velma Kerr McCard; her husband Ernest Sams; and her siblings, Erma Lavone Mangham and Tony McCard. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Chapman (Todd) and Dwayne Sams; and her granddaughter Jenny Chapman.
