She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Walker Sr. and Minnie Lee Walker; her husband Franklin J. Cooksey Sr.; her daughter Minnie Lee Verduzco; and her siblings, Lyman Walker Jr., Robert "Butch" Walker, Glenn "Bunny" Walker, Ulysses "Bo" Walker, Loren "Stud" Walker, Lavonne McElrethe, Oralee Walker, Louise Connell, Rena Hightower and Betty Jean Raker.
She is survived by: her son Franklin "Bruce" Cooksey Jr.; and her grandsons, Tony Verduzco, Austin Cooksey and Brandon Cooksey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Transforming Life Church - Monticello (1206 Springfield Rd, Monticello, FL 32344). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at the Beth Page Cemetery.
