He was predeceased by: his father Carl Sumner of Thomasville; and his stepfather Floyd Taylor of Pavo. He is survived by: his wife Mabel Oade Sumner of Thomasville; his children, Corey Sumner (Lori) of Thomasville and Kelli Sumner of Missoula, Montana; his grandchildren, Emily and Preston Sumner of Thomasville; his mother Pauline Taylor of Pavo, Georgia; and his siblings, Joey Sumner (Tammy) of Thomasville and Carolyn Hoover (Ben) of Thomasville.
