She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Berner and Mildred Berner; her husband Richard "Dick" Izzo; and her sister Carol Berner Gardner. She is survived by: her sister Beverly Berner Hatcher (Herschel); her children, Rich Izzo, Hugo Izzo (Holly), Dean Izzo and Maria Izzo Champion (Steve); her grandchildren, Aubrey Izzo Tinsley (David), Sam Izzo, Jenna Long, Michael Izzo and Colby Izzo; her great grandchildren, Lainey and Larson Tinsley; and her friend Barbara Roland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Allen and Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Gentiva Foundation, reflecting Gail's lifelong dedication to palliative care.
