He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Maggitas and Agoro Maggitas; his wife Connie Mathes Maggitas; and his siblings, Athanasis Magitas of Greece, Aliki Garillas of Greece and Cristy Zalokostas of Greece.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Maggitas of Thomasville, Tommy Maggitas of Freeport, Christine "Mary" Montague (Scott) of Thomasville and Johnny Maggitas of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Dr. Charles Maggitas of Birmingham and Christina Maggitas of Washington, D. C.; and his brother Andrew Magitas of Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
