She was predeceased by : her parents, Cara Frances Prine and Talley Tomlinson; her former life partner J. W. Damon; her husband John F. Sutphin, Jr.; her brothers, David Tomlinson, Elton Byrd Tomlinson and John Talley Tomlinson; and her granddaughter Rebecca Catherine Mullis.

She is survived by : her stepdaughter Dana Walker; her nephews, Tommy, Ronnie Dampier, Scott Tomlinson and Jeff Tomlinson; and her niece Cara Tomlinson.
