He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herbert and Sophie Green, Jr. (Atkinson); and his siblings-in-law, Vernon Capps and Laurette Green. He is survived by: his wife Lenora "Jane" Stokley Green of Thomasville, Georgia; his children, Brenda Jane Green Benton of Thomasville, Herbert "Marshall" Green II (Vicki) of Thomasville and Belinda Ann Green Smith (Paul) of Bainbridge, Georgia; his grandchildren, Brenton Smith of Thomasville, Trey Benton (Ansley) of Coolidge, Elizabeth Pulley (Shawn) of Thomasville and Joan Green of Thomasville, Georgia; his great grandchild Henry William Benton; and his siblings, Julia "Carolyn" Green Butler (Judson) of Metcalfe, Shellie Faye Green Capps of Jacksonville and John Wesley "Johnny" Green of Tallahassee, Florida.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
