She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Wort and Genevieve Wort; her daughter Deanna Marie Bahler; and her siblings, Richard Wort, Lynda Reese, Lee Wort and Larry Wort.

She is survived by: her children, Dale Howard Smith (Patricia) of Michigan, Steven Scott Smith (Wanda) of Washington State, Glenn Karl Smith of Thomas County and Cynthia Passmore (Roy) of Thomasville; and her grandchildren, Sonjia Barker, Adam Kube, Genevieve Taylor, Dale Smith Jr., Jessica McClure, Crystal Smith, Taylor Smith and Lawton Johnson.
