He was predeceased by: his parents, Hansel P. Chastain and Josephine "Joan" Chastain; and his siblings, Doug Chastain, Harriet Pyles and Cathy Chastain.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Anderson Chastain; his children, Keri Elizabeth Chastain of Thomasville, Kelly Martin Chastain of Perry and Adrian Chastain Delso (Tim); his grandchildren, Emma Briones, Ruben Briones and Anthony Martinez; and his great grandchild Dax Michael Martinez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
