It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ella Lewis (Thomasville, Georgia), born in Barwick, Georgia, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Anthony Miller and Osie Ella Miller of Brooks County; her spouse Lavone Lewis; and her brothers, John T. Miller and James Anthony "Jimmy" Miller.
She is survived by : her children, Tony Lewis (Cindy), Diane Lewis Gammons (Mike) of Thomasville and Marcia Lewis Scanlan (Stephen) of Saint George Island; her grandchildren, Jason Lewis (Brandi), Kristy Gammons Rhoden (Brad), Brad Lewis, Dana Hayes King (Chris), Bridgett Gammons Bowen (Conner), Lauren Lewis Whitfield (Fred) and Megan Lewis Towell (James); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Lewis Hopkins (Tyler), Marissa Hudson, Erin Lewis, Lilly King, Andrew Rhoden, Hayes King, Phillip Bowen, Mary Ella Bowen, Rowyn Lewis, Lewis Towell, Stewart Whitfield and Ellis Kate Towell. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
