He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Walthall, Jr. and Helen Huie Walthall; and his sister Gloria Walthall Miller. He is survived by: his wife Jean Jenerette Walthall; his brother Joseph Edward Walthall III; his children, Melanie, Ryan (Josephine) and Lane (Blanding); and his grandchildren, Tré, Johnson, Everett, Fort, Neal and Ben.
