He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Mason and Louise Pritchett Mason (Jean Mason); his daughter Donna Mason; and his sisters, Ruth Freeman (Ronnie) and Helen Collins (Wayne).
He is survived by: his significant other Jean Weidman; his children, Nora Walker (Monroe) of Greenville, Fla. and Ted Mason of Thomasville; his siblings, Mary Ulmer (Clayton) of Whigham, Ellen King (Bill) of Albany, Charles Mason (Anne) of Cairo and Jimmie Mason (Norma) of Summerfield, Fla.; his grandchildren, Brad McGrotha, Amy Hammock, Marilyn Fritzsche (Jeremy), Monroe Walker, Jr. and Valerie Mundt (Eric); and his great grandchildren, Harley Mundt, Travis Hammock, Chloe Mundt and Stella Fritzsche.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (10526 US-84, Thomasville, GA 31757).
