She was predeceased by: her parents, France Hobbs and Annie Ruth Hobbs of Quitman; her brother Bobby Cooper; her husband Wayne Thornton; and her former husband Jeff Chandler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Casey Akridge of Quitman and Andrea Chandler of Tifton, Georgia.; and her sisters, Barbara Williamson (Charlie) of Quitman, Georgia, Kathy Cothern (Dobbie) of Waycross, Georgia and Brenda Beasley (Patrick) of Valdosta, Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
