It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josie Davis of Thomson, Georgia, born in Trenton, South Carolina, who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we reminisce about the times shared, let us find comfort in knowing that Josie's legacy lives on in the small, everyday moments that bring us joy and connection. In the tapestry of our lives, her presence is woven into the fabric of our fondest memories, a gentle reminder of the impact Josie has had on our hearts.

She is survived by : her children, LaVerne Galloway (Roland), Janet Reynolds (John) of Columbia, SC, Sharon Davis and Nick Davis; and her siblings, Myrtie Cushman of Warrenville, SC, Elle Burkett, George T. "Bud" Johnson (Brenda) of Graniteville, SC and Joseph C. Johnson, Jr. of Warrenville, SC. She is also survived by her three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Curtis Funeral Home (218 W Hall St, Thomson, GA 30824). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
