She was predeceased by: her husband C. W. "Whit" Whitaker; and her son John Irwin Whitaker. She is survived by: her children, Julie W. Plunkett (Jimmy), Anita Whitaker of Stockbridge and Jeremy Whitaker (Buffy) of Thomson; her sister Bonita James (Anthony) of Valley, AL.; her grandchildren, Rachel Whitaker, Noah Whitaker (Lindsay), Caleb Plunkett (Nicole), Chelsey Goodwin (Tripp) and Gracie Whitaker; and her great grandchildren, Jude Whitaker, Salem Whitaker, Cana Whitaker, Jubilee Whitaker, Justus Whitaker, River Whitaker, Titus Whitaker, Rylie Goodwin, Sophia Goodwin, Ellie Goodwin, Olivia Goodwin and Lucy Goodwin.
