She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Carithers and Karen Carithers. She is survived by: her brothers, Dwight Carithers (Aletha) of Raleigh, Bucky Carithers of Athens and Lake Hartwell; and her friend Ruthie Knox. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She asked that memorials be made to the Friends of Oconee Hill Cemetery (Post Office Box 49219, Athens, Ga 30604) or to her church, New Thomson United Methodist Church (Post Office Box 221, Thomson, GA 30824). In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree.
