She was predeceased by : her mother Mell Norris (Lollie Hunt); and her brothers, James, Bill and Mell. She is survived by : her son John David Baston, III; her daughter-in-law Karen Walls Baston; and her grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Baston, John David Baston, IV of Gainesville, GA. and Patsy Russell.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (512 Westview Dr, Thomson, GA 30824).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Thomson, Georgia or to "The Hospice House" of The Northeast Georgia Health System Foundation, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
