He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley Carnell and Wilma Gay Collins Carnell; and his siblings, Mary Turner, Karen Burdette and Wayne Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Howard Carnell of Thomson; his children, Jeanie Marie Carnell of Thomson and Jake Carnell (Victoria) of Thomson; his grandchildren, Brianna Marie Rushton (Ryan) of Thomson, Isabella Marie Carnell, Aaliyah Marie Ramsey, Emily Marie Carnell, Abigail Veronica Carnell and Sean Michael Carnell; his brother Joe Carnell of Virginia; and his pet Athena Marie Carnell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home (77 W Gibson St, Warrenton, GA 30828). The military honors was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (6252 Mill Creek Church Rd, Mitchell, GA 30820).
