With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dora Mae Cox Coburn of Tifton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Jackson Cox and Clara Pearl Taylor Cox; her husband James Newton Coburn; and her siblings, Herman Cox, Jake Cox, Jesse Cox, Clara Cox Pate, Louise Tucker and Cora Lee Bracewell.
She is survived by: her sons, James Newton II (Patricia Lynn Coburn) and Glenn Alan (Barbara Jo Coburn); her siblings, Henry Cox of Las Vegas, Cecil (Nora Cox) and Vernell Roberts of Suffolk, Virginia; her grandchildren, Jarod Coburn (Breanna), Ashley Renae Wehunt and Christopher Coburn; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Daniel Coburn, Evan Keaton Coburn, Connor Glen Coburn and Colton James Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home For Funerals (420 Love Ave, Tifton, GA 31794). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
