He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Alonza Matthews and Clara Giddens Matthews. He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Tucker Matthews; his sons, Dan Matthews (Julie) and Craig Matthews (Joy); his grandchildren, Jared Matthews (Krystin), Zach Matthews (Jade), Tucker Matthews (Kallie), Samantha Matthews Hendley (Austin) and Grant Matthews; and his great grandchildren, Parker Matthews, Sloane Matthews, Graham Matthews, Jack Hendley and Tatum Matthews.
Flowers will be accepted by the family or memorial donations may be made to the Deacon's Benevolence Fund at First Baptist Church, 404 Love Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794.
