He is survived by : his wife Audrey Rose Sumner Burns of Tifton; his children, Joseph Lawrence "Joey" Burns, IV of Alma and Jennifer Jenkins of Tifton; his siblings, Jerry Burns of Bonita Springs, Florida and Marcela Burns of Smithville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Levi Burns, Alan Jenkins, Vincent Jenkins, Zach Bullington, Grace Bullington and David Bullington; and his great grandchild David Bullington.
