He is survived by : his stepchildren, Debra Ann Hill of Tifton, Dennis and Laurie Swafford of Griffin; his grandchildren, Emily Smith, Bridget Joiner, Chris, Kesha Dudley, Tiffany, Donnie Brooks, Ashley Swafford, Cameron Cox, Brice Swafford, Creig Swafford and Glenda Heard; his brother-in-law Jerome Houle; and also Larry. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as four great-great-grandchildren, his wife's brother.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Albritton Funeral Directors (1020 Tift Ave N, Tifton, GA 31794). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery (124 Waterloo Church Ln, Chula, GA 31733).
