It is with sadness that the passing of William Byrd of Tifton, Georgia is shared. William, born on February 10, 1940, passed away on July 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Stevens Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Beau Byrd (Kathy) of Birmingham, Alabama and Grace Byrd Morris (David) of Auburn, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Gillian Jones Patton, Ryan Jones, Walker Byrd, Carter Byrd, Lainey Morris and Crawford Morris. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Byrd was the recipient of the George A Wright Memorial Award in 2018 for his positive contributions to his community as a devoted family man, business leader, and active member of his church.
