We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 91, Betty Jean Pritchett Carter (Toccoa, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pritchett and Bertie Walker Pritchett; her husband Robert E. Carter; and her siblings, Emory Pritchett, Una Gombrov, Ruth Payne and Grant Pritchett.
She is survived by: her son Mike; her daughter-in-law Sandra Carter of Toccoa; her daughter Tassie Carter Gomez of Toccoa; her grandchildren, Von, Michelle Ivester, Dasha, Gilbert Martin, Christy, Jason Ricci, Jodi and Matt Hicks; her great grandchildren, Kaiya, Brody, Gunner Martin, Rylan Ivester, Talan Grafton, Gage, Luke, Max Ricci, Reese and Kohen Hicks; and her brother-in-law Royce Carter of Toccoa. She is also survived by step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
