He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Joe and Martha Bolmon Thomason; his father-in-law Glenn Chapman; and his nieces, Chandler Louise LeCroy and Cherie Davis.
He is survived by: his sons, Tanner Glenn Thomason and Walker Chapman Thomason; his sisters, Renea Cleveland (James), Regina Davis (Michael), Rita Brady and Robin Outz (Terry); his sister-in-law Christy LeCroy (Larry); and his mother-in-law Brenda Ayers Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
