She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Matheson and Capie Perry Matheson; her brother Lyman Perry Matheson (late Barbara Lassiter Matheson); and her former husband Harold William Rowell (Bill). She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Rowell Hall (Jon) of Naples, Judith Ann Rowell of Johns Creek, Georgia and Jill Rowell Tench of Delray Beach, Florida.; her grandchildren, BooBoo, William Edward Colley, Zachary William Tench and Samuel Matheson Colley (Bailey Martin Colley); her friend Georgia; and her husband Eli Lilly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Jan was a former Board Member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Georgia and a volunteer community assistant for that office. She also worked with the Alzheimer Association in Michigan.
