He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Caples and Johney Lee Goins Caples; his daughter-in-law Janice Leigh Hickman Caples; and his siblings, Charles, Sandra and Jimmy Dan Caples.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Joyce Sanders Caples; his children, Frances Elaine Caples Beach (Robert) and Freeman Andrew Caples (Kim); his grandchildren, Joseph Freeman Caples, Susan Lynn Caples, Caroline Christopher Beach and George Richard Sanders Beach; his great grandchild Curtis Max Caples; and his brother Billy Mack Caples of Oklahoma.
