He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Newt Gibson and Ethel Ivester Gibson; his daughter Melissa Ann Gibson; and his siblings, Garrett, Dole, Thurmond Gibson, Annie Bell Waddell, Evelyn Howard, Coralee Whitfield, Wilma Louise Gomaz and Carolyn Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Tyler; his daughter Debbie; his son-in-law Brent Purcell of Carnesville; his grandchildren, Chris, Shannon Purcell of Toccoa, Janna, C. J. Whittaker of Martin, Justin, Jamie Gosnell of Carnesville, Matthew and Nikkie Gosnell of Carnesville; and his great grandchild Grady Purcell of Toccoa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
