He is survived by: his wife Linda Joan Hunter; his children, Cat Hunter of Toccoa and James Gray Hunter (Georgia) of Fort Valley; his grandchildren, Austin Hunter, Deana Bode (Ryan), Gray Hunter (Brandon), Rhett Hunter (Rayley), Kirsten Hunter and Asher Hunter; his great grandchildren, Walt Bode, Amelia Bode, Raelynn Hunter and Jacey Hunter; and his brothers, James Hunter of Columbus and Bill Hunter of Thomaston, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
